BIO
Introducing debut album “Curse & Courage” by ARV
Oslo-based ARV delivers a sound rooted in metal, blending elements of hardcore and post-metal into an experience that balances intensity and atmosphere. Their debut album, Curse & Courage, shapes its raw and textured expression through a mix of aggression, tempo shifts, and expansive, atmospheric riffs. Not only inspired by the heritage and connection several of the members have from northern parts of Norway, but also by current topics that just no one wants to see.
Recorded at Amper Tone and Nords Studio and mixed and mastered by Ruben Willem, Curse & Courage is the result of a long creative process that reflects the band’s commitment to their craft.
Previously, ARV has performed at festivals like Høstsabbat and Klubb-Øya, showcasing a dynamic and immersive live presence, one that the album itself represents with its intense and atmospheric soundscapes.
Featuring Frederik Hillestad (Kollwitz) on vocals and musicians from Jack Dalton and Day of the Jackalope, ARV brings together years of experience to craft their distinctive sound.
Curse & Courage is an exploration of heavy, unrestrained music for listeners drawn to the darker and more immersive corners of metal.
